Conservatives Slam Pete Buttigieg for Bike Ride

Pete Buttigieg is finding himself the butt of conservative media's jokes after he sort of rode a bike to a cabinet meeting. "The Secretary of Transportation, 39, was seen arriving at the building on his bike Thursday to attend a White House Cabinet meeting with Joe Biden. It appeared the politician had cycled in from his office at the Department of Transportation three miles away," reported the Daily Mail.

But footage from television station WFMZ-TV shows members of Buttigieg's secrutiy removing a bicycle from the back of a SUV blocks from the White House while Buttigieg helmeted up. The short video ends with Buttigieg and a member of his team bicycling off.

The bike ride was meant to show his commitment to green energy. When contacted by the New York Post, the Department of Transportation replied: "He rode his bike to the White House cabinet meeting and he rode his bike back to DOT after the meeting."
