controversial limited-edition menu item, the McRib may have to make way for Spicy Chicken McNuggets?

McDonald's sales in the U.S. rose 5.5% in the last quarter of 2020, but international sales dropped, CNN Business reports.

Maybe a Spicy McNugget is just what the franchise needs to keep consumers chomping at the bit for their favorite guilty pleasures.

"Our fans asked. And pleaded," a company representative stated via email, as reported by the Food Network. The correspondence also acknowledged "tens of thousands of tweets," bolstering the nuggets' return, along with the new Mighty Hot Sauce.
