Nordstrom Made Launches BP. Be Proud Gender-Inclusive Fashion Collection

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Just in time for Pride, Nordstrom Made is releasing its first gender-inclusive line, a 28-piece capsule collection under its label Nordstrom Made. Collection highlights include a striped crop tank, tie-dye tees and butterfly print tube dress and bike shorts, and range from $7 to $75,

Nordstrom engaged different members from the LGBTQ community to provide insight on what they see as missing from the current apparel landscape and worked with them to ensure fit and styling was reflective of what they'd like to see in this collection. The company also seeks feedback from customers to fine-tune its offerings for the second collection, slated to launch in fall 2020.

As part of the BP. Be Proud collection, Nordstrom engaged nine dancers from different backgrounds, sizes, genders and ethnicities to express themselves through dance while wearing pieces from this collection. Working with New York-based choreographer Nicholas Palmquist, the dancers self-recorded the same routine in their own homes for the video campaign.

Additionally, Nordstrom will donate 10 percent of sales from the Be Proud collection to True Colors United. This nonprofit organization implements innovative solutions to youth homelessness that focus on the unique experiences of LGBTQ young people. Beyond the collection, Nordstrom engages with the queer community through annual grants. This year's recipients include:
