Mr. Robot - Season 1

JC Alvarez READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Ripped from the headlines, "Mr. Robot" Season 1 immediately got plenty of attention when it premiered, now the USA Network Original Season which stars relatively unknown actor Rami Malek as a computer hacker named "Elliot" who finds himself wrapped up in the middle of an industrial conspiracy. The techno-intelligent thriller also stars Golden Globe Winner Christian Slater as the leader of an underground hacking ring that recruits Elliot into his world.

A relative Robin Hood at heart, Elliot is convinced he's doing the world a favor by getting under the skin of the very corporation he is employed to protect. Slater's character convinces him that the firm is corrupt and undermining the world economy. Loaded with political intrigue and startling "real-life" references, "Mr. Robot" capitalized on our growing concerns over privacy and security in today's digital realm.

The Blu-ray presents all 10 Season 1 episodes in high-definition and gives audiences the opportunity to digest one of the year's most highly acclaimed television series. It's not a surprise that "Mr. Robot" also took home a Golden Globe for "Best Drama On Television" beating out the glossier blockbuster "Game Of Thrones" and continues to gain momentum now that you can binge the entire series in anticipation of a returning season.

The 2-disc set is low on bonus content which is limited to deleted scenes from episodes and a gag reel which helps to lighten the otherwise high intensity inspired by the tone of the show. Also included is a unique "M4k1ng_0f_Mr_R0b0t.mov" behind-the-scenes featurette that takes you on a journey revealing the genesis of the show that is being called "revolutionary" and definitely worth hacking into.
