On February 28, Ajijic Cares hosts their "Black, White, and RED Hot" gala event in San Juan Cosala in Jalisco, Mexico, to benefit Dallas HIV mental healthcare organization Legacy Counseling. The event will be held at Arileo Restaurant, and will feature headliner, Dallas performer Vince Martnez and jazz singer Marcela Mota.
"We are so happy to have this opportunity to encourage HIV prevention around the world. Legacy is excited our board member Vince Martnez is using his talents to encourage education on HIV prevention," said Melissa Grove, Executive Director of Legacy Counseling.
The evening theme of "Black, White and RED Hot" blends the colors of Red ribbon for AIDS/HIV awareness with a black-and-white color scheme to set the ambiance of a swanky, New York-style supper club.
Mexican contemporary jazz singer Mota from Guadalajara will perform during the meal with Dallas performer Martnez, a good friend of Ajijic Cares and great supporter of HIV awareness efforts, headlining the after-dinner show.
Tickets are $500 pesos per person and include the cost of the meal and gratuity, plus a contribution to Ajijic Cares, an organization formed to educate and bring awareness and compassion to those living with HIV. Legacy Counseling supports this event in their effort to raise international HIV awareness.
"I was moved to help Ajijic Cares because I have witnessed the important work Legacy has done for years and want to help friends in Mexico get this important project going," said Martnez. "Education is prevention!"
Conveniently located in the Uptown area of Dallas, Legacy Counseling Center provides affordable, quality mental healthcare and emotional support services to hundreds of men and women challenged with HIV or AIDS.
