Silver Linings Playbook
Oscar nominated "Silver Linings Playbook" was the first romantic comedy in years to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar, and deservedly so. Sharply written and perfectly cast, (with an Oscar winning performance by Jennifer Lawrence), it takes an honest look at mental illness and puts a face on it. It also created a cute and refreshing love story that felt real rather than hopelessly Hollywood-ized. It stars Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert DeNiro - all nominated for their roles.
Purchasing the disc is determined on whether you will watch the film with repeated viewings. Special features are numerous, but don't add too much to the enjoyment or knowledge of the film.

Deleted Scenes: 30 minutes of deleted scenes that are not all that exciting and don't add anything from the finished product.
"Silver Linings Playbook: The Movie That Became a Movement": While I appreciate the film addressing mental illness and making it accessible, stating that it started a movement is something of a gross over-statement. That said, it's kind of interesting to see how the film touched those affected by mental illness (or someone dealing with it).
"Q&A Highlights": Selections from various Q&A's held with cast and crew around the country.
Dance Rehearsal: B-roll footage of Lawrence and Cooper practicing their fancy dance moves.
Learn to Dance Like Pat & Tiffany: An instructional video with choreographer Mandy Moore on how to do the finale dance. It's a bit of a teeny-bobber move to include, so most can skip it.
Going Steadicam With Bradley Cooper - a brief behind-the-scenes moment with Cooper using a steadicam while filming Lawrence in a scene. Without any commentary as to why this was happening, this seems more of interest to those that worked on the film than fans of it.
