After a pandemic hiatus, "Enchanted: Forest of Light" at the Descanso Gardens is back and as beautiful as ever!

Spread across some of the most gorgeous areas of the gardens, Enchanted takes visitors across an interactive one-mile nighttime walk through a dazzling festival of lights and lighted installations.

While there are some new areas to explore, there are some old faithful stops along the journey including the tulip garden (known as Flower Power) where the lights of the flowers alternate colors and change and dance in waves as tinkling chimes are heard.

Lit oak trees surrounded by walkways that illuminate when stood on capture the majesty of one of the most popular groves, and the twinkling firefly projections make the Ancient Forest walkway seem like a mythical land of fairies and magic! There are also the massive swirling lanterns from HYBYCOZO on the Main Lawn that take visitors to another world.

New this year is a mini-town of stained glass houses created by sculptor Tom Fruin — some of which you can explore and take pictures from the inside. There's also a moon installation over a still placid lake that illuminates the water like a fairytale mirror.

All these wondrous areas (10 in all) are accompanied by dreamlike music that quietly wafts through each section giving the entire event an otherworldly feel. For influencers and social media lovers, there are plenty of picture taking opportunities including an open cage of light, perfect for getting that flawless complexion.

Before and after, be sure to try out the yummy drink options including specialty cocktails, wine, hot chocolate and cider. Food offerings include sandwiches, beignets, churros, and more. Don't forget to check out the gift shop for all your festive needs.

Descanso Gardens "Enchanted: Forest of Light" is one of the can't miss events of the holiday season and tends to sell out, so be sure to get your tickets now for a night you won't soon forget.
